After more than a decade of declining production, the future is starting to look a little brighter for Mexico’s oil industry, with the landmark energy reforms enacted in 2013 finally starting to bear fruit. But there is widespread concern that this progress could be jeopardized if Andres Manual Lopez Obrador, the current front-runner, prevails in July’s presidential elections.
