The North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) is heading for the divorce courts. US President Donald Trump made it abundantly clear on the campaign trail and before and after its renegotiation began on Aug. 16 that he wants to “tear up” the treaty. That could have a big impact on regional oil and gas trade — but how big an impact will depend on whether the US’ divorce from Canada and Mexico is amicable or messy.
